Current Profession

I currently hold a Personnel Manager’s position at a dynamic and well-known nationwide company. I qualified in Personnel Management in 1978 and reached a senior level in the industry at an early age. I am in a privileged position to be the author of a sequel series, Sebastian the Lion Cub, distributed by the Kishugu Group of Companies. I am so blessed and honoured.

Qualifications

With my need for educational knowledge, I took various courses such as Unisa – 2002 - Public Relations on Line (1-year Diploma). Helen Knight Music Studios International – 2008 till 2010 - Vocalist Opera. SA Writers College – 2014 - 1 year Diploma - Skryf ‘n Roman. Unigrad College – 2017 Communication & Management Communication. 2018 – 2020 Study towards Holistic Health. Allied Health Professions Council of SA (AHPCSA) qualifying as Therapeutic Reflexologist in 2020. Studied the Science of Iridology - 2021. SA Vryskutskrywer – 2021 Studying Editing and proofreading. I am also a member of the Bloemfontein Writer’s Association. In addition to my interest in the behaviour of people and its origins, I obtained the following Diplomas during 2022 in Neuropsychology, Behavioural Psychology, Advanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Meridian Psychotherapy.

Achievements

Writing remains my heartbeat and I wrote a number of short stories for well-known magazines. I’ve published two volumes of poetry including Mara, Winterslewe, Holklank van Binne, Woud en Water, in the Komsat, the publication of Afrikaans poetry. During 1992 - 1997 I served as radio broadcaster for Radio Overvaal Stereo, a community station in Viljoenskroon where I presented amongst others Kunstenaarsdebuut and Kortbeentjietyd. This was followed by Christian children's stories and puzzle games such as The Crucifixion, Noah's Ark, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel. In 2007, I was approached by the Executive Director of ‘Radio Trans World’ to write short Christian stories for broadcasting.

Career Highlights

During my studies as a Reflexologist, I treated several patients, among them a twelve-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma on his T7 vertebrae. During his treatment, I learned the value of patience and perseverance. I was able to successfully complete my case study because of his willingness to share with me the success of holistic healing. I sincerely thank Sean Adlem for the miracle that he is and his strong faith.

Rugmurgbeserings is uiters dramaties. Gedurende my gevallestudies het ek so ‘n pasiënt behandel. Om beter verstandhouding rondom hierdie besering te bewerkstellig, gaan ek kortliks verduidelik. Die rugmurg is verantwoordelik vir die stuur van seine na en van die brein terwyl die brein hierdie seine verwerk en interpreteer. ‘n Rugmurgbesering voorkom dus dat die brein seine stuur en ontvang. Die vorm van verlamming met hierdie tipe van besering is onvermydelik, veral as die skade hoog in die rugmurg geplaasgevind het; gewoonlik in die servikale ruggraat tussen C1 en C7. In hierdie toestand het ek Annoline van Eeden ontmoet. Ons het dadelik begin met Refleksologiese behandeling. Ons verhouding het verstewig. Met die doelgerigtheid en opregte vriendskap wat uit hierdie behandeling gebore is, kon sy na drie maande uit die hospitaal stap. Ek het by Annoline geleer dat geen struikelblok of prognose jou jou doel kan ontneem nie. Sy is werklik ‘n ystervrou. Ek bewonder haar.
